Sleep and Dream Big

Show Appreciation for What You Have

Sometimes we feel anxious over everything we do not have in our lives. We begin to live in the past or the future and forget about living for today. Take the time to show your gratitude for the things you do have and express your thanks whether it is on a prayer or by writing it in a journal. Start a journal and call it ‘Gratitude’ and write something you are thankful for every day. The more we can appreciate what we have in the here and now, rather than being overwhelmed and anxious about things we do not have control over, the more at peace we will be.

Giggle, Smile or Laugh

Without a doubt, laughter is the best medicine. When anxiety is getting you down, find a way to let humor enter your life. Ask one of your funny friends out for coffee, go see a funny movie or play with a pet who brings joy to your life. All of these are fantastic ways to enjoy a little laughter, which can greatly reduce levels of anxiety in the body and soul because it serves as a release.

Find a Place of Serenity

If you suffer from an anxiety disorder, it’s very important to have a place where you can go and relax. It is essential to your sanity and it doesn’t matter whether you use this room for meditation, napping or journaling, just as long as it offers quiet and room for grounding.
