Claircognizance is the ability to know something intuitively, without any clear sense of how the information arrived. Unlike clairvoyance, clairaudience, or clairsentience, which come through an image, a sound, or a feeling, claircognizance shows up as sudden certainty, an idea or answer that appears fully formed.

A claircognizant psychic may describe "just knowing" something is true during a reading, even without being able to explain the source of that certainty. It's often the hardest of the four main "clair" abilities to describe to someone else, since there's no sensory experience attached to it.
