Clairaudience is the ability to receive intuitive information through sound: words, a name, a phrase, or an inner voice, rather than through images or feelings. It's not about literally hearing voices out loud. It's closer to hearing a thought spoken clearly within the mind.

During a reading, a clairaudient psychic may describe "hearing" a specific word or message come through, and that often shapes where the reading goes next. It's one of the four main "clair" abilities, alongside clairvoyance, clairsentience, and claircognizance, and many psychics have more than one at once.
