Meaning: The High Priestess sits between two pillars, one black, one white, with a veil behind her patterned with pomegranates, symbols of hidden knowledge just out of reach. She holds a scroll and represents wisdom gained through stillness rather than action.

Upright: Intuition, mystery, inner knowing. Points to trusting personal wisdom over logic or outside opinion. Often appears when the answer to a question is already known intuitively, even if not yet consciously admitted.

Reversed: Secrets, disconnection from intuition. Can suggest ignoring one's gut instinct, or a situation where something important is being kept hidden or withheld.
