A rune reading uses a set of ancient alphabet symbols, originally used in Northern European writing systems, drawn or cast to answer a question or offer insight into a situation. Each rune carries its own traditional meaning, and a reader interprets both the individual symbols drawn and how they relate to one another.

Depending on the reader, runes may be drawn one at a time for a focused answer or cast together and interpreted based on how they land in relation to each other, similar in spirit to a tarot spread.
