A psychic is a general term for someone with heightened intuitive or extrasensory ability, perceiving information beyond what the five physical senses typically allow. It's often used as an umbrella term covering a wide range of more specific abilities, clairvoyance, mediumship, empathic sensitivity, and others, rather than describing one single skill.

Psychics differ widely in which specific abilities they rely on most and which tools, if any, they use to support a reading, so two psychics can offer very different experiences even when addressing the same kind of question.
